Mobility: “All human beings should know how to move and be able to perform basic maintenance on themselves”
This mobility series is a continuation of Christian’s Mobility Workshop done last year. His first workshop was an introduction to mobility and covered a general approach to performing regular maintenance on your body. He touched on the full-body approach of mobility and addressed all of the elements that limit the entire body.
With these series, Christian is breaking down the body to its two main engines, Pt.1 hips and Pt. 2 shoulders. Movements of your body, with a stable spine, are initiated from your shoulders and hips. Your shoulder and hips are designed to support and accommodate large loads and dynamic movements. Improving the mobility of these engines ‘bullet proof’ the body so that movement can be executed safely. This leads to reduction of pain and injury, joint health and longevity, as well as increased ability to move freely and easily.
Each series dives deep into the primary function of said engine and details the amount of active, usable motion that one possesses. It will be followed by a self-screen to identify each individual's limitations followed by a cohesive mobility solution.
