February Film Night - "RoboCop" (1987)

Wednesday, February 7th │ 7:00-9:00 pm
Members: Complimentary │Non-Members: Standard Guest Fee

Set in the future, Detroit has seen many of its police officers killed by crime boss Clarence Boddicker. Many blame the company hired to manage the Police department (OCP). OCP wants to replace old, crime-ridden Detroit with Delta City and has developed a robot to clean up the city, ED-209, which fails.  Boddicker and his thugs kill officer Murphy, who is turned into RoboCop, who has great success in fighting crime. Eventually RoboCop finds one of the thugs who killed him and his memory starts to return. What happens afterward is complex, exciting and most satisfying. Directed by Peter Verhoeven (Total Recall, Basic Instinct), RoboCop offers a fascinating companion piece to The Terminator. Join us for the cyborg mayhem!

Enjoy complimentary appetizers and wine during the film, as well as post-film discussion with film buff, Jim Clauss.
