Think Pink! – A Breast Cancer Workshop with Peg Maas, DPT

Wednesday, October 30th│ 6:00-7:00 pm
Members: Complimentary │ Non-Members: Standard Guest Fee

The two biggest risk factors for developing breast cancer are being a woman and getting older, according to breastcancer.org. These are not factors we have much control over, but reliable research findings support the idea that lifestyle choices impact our risk.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are hosting a presentation of current research regarding exercise and breast cancer. Recent advances in knowledge have shifted our understanding about the kinds of exercise that help reduce the risk of breast cancer, and informed exercise guidelines for women who have been diagnosed with a history breast cancer. We will also clarify the role of the lymphatic system and lymphedema as they pertain to breast cancer.

We welcome all people with any degree of connection to the topic for this session which will be led by Dr. Peg Maas, DPT, who is a Board Certified Women’s and Pelvic Health Physical Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist.

Registration is required by Monday, October 28th. For more information, please contact Communications Director, Danielle Reddish, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call (206) 522-9400 ext. 254.
